Positions Available
Audio Visual and IT Support Technician
The successful candidate will be highly professional, trustworthy and will bring enthusiasm, creativity and technical know-how to the role. This position reports to the Director of Information Technology. Applicants will be personally committed to Danebank’s Christian ethos.
A full-time vacancy exists to fulfill the dual roles of:
1. Audio Visual Technician.
This is a new position which will support the needs of our new 1,000 seat Performing Arts Centre. Activities in the centre range from weekly assemblies and chapel services to conferences, large corporate events, concerts and dramatic productions. This will be a key role in the development of the centre as it fulfills the needs of this vibrant school community.
The successful candidate will be:
* experienced in running audio recording, lighting desk, video camera and editing operations
* competent to liaise with all parts of the school community.
* able to bring strong organization skills in managing equipment and maintenance procedures.
* competent to train senior students to be part of the theatre’s technical team.
* flexible and prepared to work outside hours where necessary.
* competent to maintain school online booking procedures for all parts of the centre including theatre, drama studios and foyer areas.
It is envisaged that this part of the role will take 50-60% of the technician’s time.
2. IT Support Technician.
The IT team maintains numerous computer laboratories and computer stations throughout the school and supports the technical needs of teachers, students and administration staff. As part of the IT team, you will assist in maintaining the smooth running of all technical functions giving technical support to all parts of the school community.
