Student members are provided with a great opportunity to develop a range of skills, not only in leadership but also working as part of a team to co-ordinate events. There are 28 SRC members, one from each pastoral care group who meet regularly. Every year group is represented.

Aims:

• To support school activities.
• To represent the students' views, in this forum.
• To collect information and ideas from the student body.
• To fundraise for worthy charitable causes through mufti days and other charity drives.
• To fundraise to provide additional school equipment.
• To communicate students' views to Canteen operators.
• To provide assistance, when needed, in the Canteen.

The SRC supports a Smith Family Learning for Life Student, a Pakistani student. The SRC also organizes an annual 'Thank you' for school volunteers. In recent years, the SRC has also organized an annual School Dance.
