Welcome from the Principal

Your choice of your daughter’s school is one of the most important decisions you will make in her life. Her school will play a fundamental role in shaping her development and in determining what kind of woman she becomes. You will want a school that shares your goals for your daughter so I offer the following observations about Danebank to assist you in making your choice.

Danebank girls express a strong sense of belonging to their school. There is a ‘buzz’ around the campus that reflects the girls’ friendly busy-ness as they move through their school days. They are individually challenged to develop their keen minds and faithful hearts by being encouraged to:

strive to achieve your personal best;

embrace opportunities;

work together;

be yourself;

and care for others.

Our students develop confidence and resilience because they experience an educational journey filled with amazing challenges, because they are guided by outstanding educators and because they discover their personal strengths in an individually supportive environment.

Danebank girls often astound their parents with their results, especially their Higher School Certificate results. No matter whether they have struggled academically or been high achievers during their school years, we are continually thrilled for them as they reap the rewards for their efforts in Year 12. Most Danebank graduates move into university training and onto professional careers.

One of the finest Danebank traditions is reflected in the school motto, ut prosim (That I May Serve). Our girls are encouraged to think about their place in the world and to form their personal response to the Christian message. They are asked to be sensitive to the needs of others and to offer assistance to those less fortunate in the wider world.

I hope you find these observations useful and I invite you to enjoy our website.
