The fact that Sydney is currently under temporary Covid restrictions, makes us so much more aware and thankful of the significant community events we were able to host on our campus this week.
On Tuesday we presented our first Pre-K and Kinder Information evening since 2019, with more than 90 families attending. Our specialist Pre-K program is in high demand, with girls who move through here to Kindergarten uniquely and beautifully prepared to start school.
Yesterday, in spite of the pouring rain, families visited the school for an Open Morning to tour our facilities as they consider Danebank for their daughters. This morning, Junior School was a hive of joy and activity as our girls welcomed their mums to our campus for a special Mother’s Day breakfast visit.
Danebank Year 7 Twilight Discovery
Another significant event being planned is a Year 7 Twilight Discovery, when our Senior School will be on display for families with girls in Years 5 and 6.
Our current Years 5 and 6 families and students have already been invited and an external promotional campaign is also underway … please keep an eye out for any of these and feel free to share if you come across them on social media!
Planned for Friday 28 May, the twinkle-lit event will feature two identical formal presentations, interactive Science, TAS and PD and sport exhibitions, along with delicious food provided by our P&F committee and parent volunteers, as well as barista-made coffee and hot chocolate.
I often write here about our Future Envisioned as a community, our Becoming Framework (graduate profile) and strategic refresh. In continuing our journey, all our staff will next week attend a special workshop hosted by our strategic consultant Ms Shirley Reeder in a next step in this process.
