Your girls deserve the best.
Introducing our staff.

Meet the Principal

DR MICHELE BENN

Dr Michele Benn is Danebank’s eighth Principal, joining our school as an outstanding leader in girls education.

In her educational career stretching more than 30 years, she has held numerous senior positions, including, most recently, as Head of Teaching and Learning at Meriden School. Dr Benn previously served as Head of Junior School at Meriden and Deputy Head of School at St Peter’s Anglican Grammar.

Majoring in Music for her primary education degree at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Dr Benn later completed a PhD at the University of Sydney, through the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. For this degree, she explored the experiences and professional identities of music teachers in different learning communities.

A dedicated lifelong learner, Dr Benn also holds a Master of Education and an MBA from UTS, with a major in organisational learning.

Dr Benn’s strong faith and recognition that Danebank’s strategies, programs and activities are shaped by the gospel, are at the heart of her desire to serve as the school’s Principal.
